摘要：缺陷责任期由起始时间和持续时间决定，其长度由合同双方约定，最长不超过24个月。它具有法定特征、自然特征、约定特征等特征。缺陷责任期设置的目的之一，就是缺陷责任期届满应当结清质量保证金，故缺陷责任期与质量保证金密切相关。

Abstract：The defects liability period has a start and duration，of which the length depends on the convention of the contracting parties and is no more than 24 months. The defects liability period has features of legality，naturalness and agreeability. One of its purposes is to make sure that the retention money is settled by its end. So the defects liability period has close relationship with the quality retention money.
