Abstract: Based on the industry environment characteristics of the construction industry, the TIEPI model of influencing factors on IT implementation in construction industry is constructed. According to this model, this paper then systemically reviews key industry-level influencing factors and analyses how these factors influence IT implementation respectively. While providing a guide for industry participants to successfully apply IT, this paper also offers a systemic model basis for future researches. In the future researches, more concern should be given to investigate the influencing factors for IT implementation in developing countries and muliti-national/cultural environments and to quantitatively analyse relationships between different level influencing factors.
Key words: construction industry; information technology implementation; industry-level; influencing factor
